Rita Klenk is a 1987 graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland. Rita has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a minor in mathematics. Her current Florida certifications include K-6 grades, 6-12 Mathematics, with ESOL and Middle Grades Mathematics endorsements. Her teaching career began In 1988, with the Palm Beach County Public School System. In 1995, she moved to Wellborn, Florida and accepted a position at Epiphany Catholic School, where she has taught for the past 14 years. She currently teaches grades 5-8 Mathematics, 7th grade Literature and 8th grade Religion.

Melissa Anderson - First Grade |

Melissa Anderson is a native of Lake City, and has taught at Epiphany for nine years. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida, and Early Childhood certification from the University of North Florida. Mrs. Anderson has also taught at Melrose Elementary, and Five Points Elementary. This is her twelth year in the teaching profession. She is currently teaching first grade at Epiphany.

Rainey Hrichena - Third Grade |

Mrs. Hrichena is the third grade teacher at Epiphany. She graduated from Minot State University in North Dakota with a B.S. in Education. Mrs. Hrichena maintains a florida Professional Educator Certificate with certification in Elementary Education 1-6 and Primary Education K-3. Her prior experience includes sales associate, job counselor, JTPA director, and teaching in public schools. Sister Rene' Azar hired Mrs. Hrichena to be Epiphany's counselor, test coordinator, art teacher, and technology teacher in 1993. Mrs. Hrichena later moved into a regular classroom and continues to be a great asset to our school family.

Mark Wilson - Fifth Grade |

Mark Wilson has been an educator at Epiphany Catholic School for 11 years, and has been teaching for 17 years. Mark has 5th grade Homeroom, and teaches 5th - 8th Social Studies, 5th grade Reading, and 5th grade Religion. He holds a cum laude BA degree from UCF, and further Graduate work from UF. He is a certified teacher, holding Certifications in History, Political Science, and Social Sciences. He assists our weekly Masses playing acoustic guitar, and provides after-school guitar lessons. He is also a weekend musician, and plans to start an Epiphany Golf Club soon.

Mr. Ross has a Bachelor of Science in education with a major in physical education from Valdosta State College. Dave maintains a Florida reaching Certificate in physical education for grades kindergarten through eighth. Mr. Ross's duties include seventh grade home room, fifth grade science, physical education for kindergarten through eighth grades, as well as girls softball coach. Mr. Ross's teaching experience includes the public school, community college, and the Florida Department of Corrections. He has taught at Epiphany Catholic School since 1999.

Sr. Philomina Chaneparambil holds a Diploma in Theology from Teresianam College in Rome. She also holds a bachelors degree, majoring in Early Childhood Education and Minor in Theology from Trinity College in Washington DC. She has 13 years of teaching experience and six years of experience as Director of Scrilli Day Care Center in Washington DC. Sr. Philomina has been at Epiphany since 2001. Currently she is teaching 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th grade Religion, she is the K-aide and Children's Liturgy Coordinator.

Mary Jane Blanchard hold the following degrees: University of North Florida. MEd. Mental Health and School Guidance 1987, University of North Florida. B.B.A.. Accounting, 1981 and University of North Florida B.A.E. Elementary Education 1975. She is Florida certified in guidance and counseling Grades PK-12. She has classroom experience at the elementary and middle school level. As guidance counselor, she has served students at the elementary and middle school level both in public and private schools.

Joanne Kasak is certified to teach Middle Grades General Science. Along with 3 Science classes, she also teaches 7th Grade Religion. Mrs. Kasak is also the 7th Grade Homeroom teacher. Although part-time, she also manages Science Fair and is a co-advisor for Student Council. With many years spent in healthcare, Mrs. Kasak decided to become a teacher in 2006. Since she has a B.S. in Rehabilitation Science from Florida State University, she completed the Lake City Community College's Alternative Certification program for teaching. She completed the Florida State Exam for certification in Elementary Education and Middle Grades Science. Mrs. Kasak has been teaching at Epiphany since 2007. She hopes to inspire students to become the best doctors, scientists, engineers and humanitarians.

Mrs. Julie Ishler has been the Kindergarten teacher at Epiphany since 2000. Julie has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood. She has a Florida Teaching Certification for K-6th. Before coming to Epiphany, Julie worked for 4 years at Happy House Daycare teaching 3 year olds.

Mrs. Knowles is the second grade teacher. She graduated from St. Leo's University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is certified Kindergarten through 6th grade. She also has ESOL certification. Mrs. Knowles joined the Epiphany staff during the 2006-2007 school year. Prior to that she worked at Summers Elementary. Mrs. Knowles is one of the Book Adventure coordinators for Epiphany. She also helps with Student Council.

Mrs. Jenalyn McCray is presently the 4th grade teacher at Epiphany Catholic School. Jenalyn graduated from St. Leo University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and maintains a Florida Professional Educator Certificate, with a certification in Elementary Education grades 1-6. She has worked as our Kindergarten aide, and 2nd grade teacher, before moving to 4th grade in 2006. Mrs. McCray is an alumnus of Epiphany and has been employed at the school since 1999.

Ms. Ellen Pattison is the sixth grade homeroom teacher. She teaches language arts to grades 5th - 8th, and literature to grades 6th and 8th. Ms. Pattison graduated from Saint Leo University with a degree in Elementary Education. Ellen maintains a Florida Professional Educator Certificate with certification in Elementary Education K-6, Middle Grades English 5-9, and ESOL K-12. Ms. Pattison is also the teacher sponsor for Epiphany's Middle School SCRABBLE Club, and has taught at Epiphany since January 2004.

Tonia Edenfield is Administrative Assistant for Epiphany Catholic School. She is also past president of the Epiphany Parent Organization, and she has served on the Advisory Board of the school. She has also served as President of the Seminole Booster Club for 2 years. She is a member of the Columbia County Resources and has actively helped with the Tough Enough to Wear Pink - Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser for the past 3 years.

Cindy Fanney graduated from the University at Missouri-Kansas City with a B.A. in elementary education in 1977. Since moving to Lake City in 1991 she has taught at Epiphany Catholic School for 18 of the past 19 years. The first three years were spent teaching fourth grade. Most of the other years were spent teaching Art and Library, which is what she enjoys the most. Two years were actually spent teaching physical education, an interesting experience to say the least. She hopes to stay a part of the Epiphany Catholic School family for many years to come.
